Application and Properties: |
Basic type stainless
steel electrode with high recovery, for welding of
stainless and heat resistant chromium steels or cast
steels having chromium of approx. 13%. Deposits
martensitic stainless steel weld metal. Also suitable
for corrosion and abrasion resistant surfacing welds
(contact surfaces of gas, water and steam fittings)
subjected to operating temperatures up to 450°C. Weld
metal is non-scaling up to 850°C. Use with DCEP.
Depending on type of base metal and wall thickness,
preheating and interpass temperatures from 100 to 400°C
and tempering at 650 to 750°C are advisable. |
