WEBAC 4170 EP
Description
Description 2-component epoxy resin. 100% solvent free and very low viscosity (approx. 90mPas). Application Fields WEBAC 4170 is a water-reactive, clear, low-viscosity EP special injection resin. WEBAC 4170 can bind up to 15% water info the fresh mixture without showing any emulsifying reaction of bubble formation and can form a compound with oil components. It has low viscosity that (approx 90 mPas at 23 0C) and it has water-reactivity the materials has ideal spreading properties and ensures a good wetting effect as well as a solid anchorage on dry, damp, wet or oily crack edgesof mineral nature. However, what is most significacant for achieving good adhesion qualities on such problematic cracks are open pores on the surfaces. It has a low viscosity that WEBAC 4170 is also designed for the reconstruction of cracks of low crack widths > 0.1 mm. Pot life (1 liter original quantity) amounts to approx. 50 minutes at 200C. The high water-reactivity remains until approx. 20 minutes after mixing the material. This is why the material should be applied relatively quickly fter mixing. The amount of material used and its temperature influence the pot life. The initial temperature of both components must not be below 8 0C. At 20 0C WEBAC 4170 cures to a rigid filling compound of constant volume and good inherent strength within 24 hours mixing. Upon contact with water or when applied on damp or wet cracks the reaction process may be accelerated which causes the material to cure quicker. The application at high air humidity or possible chemically bound water can lead to a slight turbidity which has no impact on the material though. Optimum reactivity and workability of the material are obtained at temperatures from 15 0C to 23 0C Note : During the application and the curing processthe temperature of the material and the building construction must fall below 8 0C because this would lead to a reaction blockade which will not be reversed if the temperature rises again.
