Minimum pressure : 0.5 N/mm2 Evaporation time : 10-15 min. at room temperature. Final strength time : 3 days after application. Surface Preparation Surfaces to be bonded should be dry, free of grease and dust. Application Using a brush or a comb, apply an even coat of Pattex “Thin” to both surfaces. Allow both surfaces to become tackfree. At a temperature of 20°C, this should take approx. 10-15 min. Before bringing the surface together, ensure they are carefully aligned. Once the two films of adhesive have come into contact, their alignment can no longer be corrected. Press the parts together quickly, applying a film pressure (50 N/cm2 or above). To ensure a strong bond, always remember: The strength of the bond is determined not by the length of time for which pressure is applied, but by the level of pressure. A few seconds is sufficient. Cleaning The Equipment Use benzine to remove excess uncured. Use toluene to remove excess cured. Dimensions And Colour 15 kg tins. Storage 12 months if stored in a cool, dry place (max. 20°C). Important Notes Pattex Thin contains flammable solvents. (Working areas should be well ventilated with no smoking and no welding. There should be no naked lights, pilot lights, or fires, including those in furnaces. Electrical appliances, e.g., heating plates etc., must be fully cooled before starting work. Sparking must be avoided.)
